Warhawk a third-person military shooter that came out on PS3 in 2007 was announced the game’s servers would finally be abruptly shutting down on October 25th 2018. The thirty days’ notice seems reasonable, but the back of Warhawk’s box specifically stated any server shutdowns would be announced 90 days in advance.

Warhawk isn’t the only PS3 game to sunset this month. In late September, Sony also announced that Twisted Metal and PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale would be losing their online modes on October 15.

It is disappointing that Sony is shutting down their game servers early since fans of the games can no longer play the games for a few more months.

a big problem for games these days, if you don't have servers then the game can no longer be played.

I feel Sony and other console makers should let users host their own 3rd-party server, or release an update to let people play the game offline if it has an offline story mode.
